Strengthening Links Between The Youth And Networks, Communities And Specialists

To engage and empower young people to make positive changes to themselves, their communities and beyond!

Aims of SLYNCS is to facilitate forums for young people to enable them to work on social action projects which are linked to issues that affect them within their local areas. This will be supported by 3 major stakeholders.

SLYNCS currently runs a number of weekly youth forums across Blackburn with Darwen. In addition we deliver a number of programmes aimed at developing leadership, team work and social action across the town.

SLYNCS objectives will be to work side by side with young people to encourage them to participate in a wide range of social action projects in their area, which will be appropriate for their age, gender, capability & to encourage growth of development.

We are always in need of volunteers to help us carry out the work we do. If you have a few hours spare each week, or would even just like to help us occasionally to fund-raise or support our work then we would love to hear from you

“When I first met Jaffer, I was bowled over by his enthusiasm, positive energy and vision for SLYNCS – a social enterprise/charity focused on increasing engagement between youth and the local community. Having observed and met with the people with whom he works, I have seen first – hand, the power of that infectious spirit. The result of that work has been foundational collaboration and engagement”

“Since the inauguration of SLYNCS, the organisation has blossomed under the leadership of Jaffer Ali Hussain and the operational team. The original core values have been maintained throughout the years and transmitted for the benefit of the local youth but also the community at large. I was happy to support the early years of growth but delighted to witness the organisations transformation and believe further encouragement and support is now required to witness the next important expansion of this unique organisation SLYNCS.”
